I have, uh, sorta neglected this thing. Oops.

Yesterday I went to Six Flags and met my best friend there! Yay! We had a great time! Rode a few rides, mostly saw shows, and I did buy things this time! I got a keychain with Superman and Wonderwoman (don't ask me why they're on a keychain together...) and a nightshirt with Supergirl. It's got red sparklies. I love glitter. Oh, and I also got a souvenir mug with a Batman topper. I ended up with a bit of sunburn, but not too bad. And some slight muscle soreness. I think I pulled a muscle in my knee, which has never happened to me before. Ever. So, needless to say, I didn't do much of anything today.

I did, however, see A Knight's Tale. Liv, this thing would likely give you a fit of some sorts. Anachronisms abound, especially in the costuming. It was pretty funny, but I think some of the humor was unintentional. Not to mention the severe unreality of medieval peasant clapping along to Queen's We Will Rock You when there is nothing discernible playing the music. Surreal. And God, did I ever hate The Love Interest. Wanted to beat her badly. Grrrr. But other than that, I liked pretty much everyone else. And realistically? William won't be marrying her, sorry to inform anybody who thinks they Rilly Rilly Belong 2Gether.

Yes, reading. Lately, I've read three TPBs, Uncle Sam, Batman: Faces, and Harlequin Valentine.

Uncle Sam: Alex Ross art. That alone made it worth checking out. But the story's great, too. Politics made dramatic for comics readers. And a sad cameo by Marianne. I think I want to own a copy of this one.

Batman: Faces: Why do some of the best Batman stories scare the crap out of me? Or, a better question... Why do I go back for more? As the title might suggest, it's a Two Face story. Never been fond of Two Face, but he is fascinating, and this story is too. And creepy. Very creepy.

Harlequin Valentine: Story by Neil Gaiman. Like with Alex Ross, 'nuff said. The story is pretty much a modern version of Harlequinades. I would so love to spend half an hour in this man's library. The range of material he must have... *happy sighs* But, like everything he does, it's incredibly well written. The art is great, too, though I don't recall the artist's name. Realistic, yet somewhat fantastic. I love it.
