In other news, I got myself something really cool. It's a pewter looking (it may actually be pewter, dun ask me) Celtic knotwork necklace I got for $6 in the local mall, and I love it. I think it means spiritual strength. I want the whole set. (there's like twelve of them)
I am actually part Irish. It's like the second smallest ethnic group that I know of in my ancestry, actually. I'm approaching half German, and I'm likely close to half English. I don't know what exactly my paternal grandfather's decent is, but since my last name is just a trade name, then I think English is a good guess. I also have a touch of Native American blood. I've been told Cherokee, but I've also heard that I'm descended from the New England Massassoit (whose name I've prolly mangled). Whether that's the same bloodline or not, I'm not entirely sure... As for my Irish blood, my maternal grandfather was half Irish, so that's about 1/8 Irish for me. (my maternal grandmother was entirely German, and my maternal grandfather was also 1/2 Irish) Although my Irish blood is in pretty small amount when you get right down to it, it's the part of my heritage that I identify most strongly with.
