I am so mad I could just fucking spit. *deep hopefully calming breath*

Ok, my Mom has been renting out my late grandparents' house, her childhood home (about a block from where we live, incidentally) to the boyfriend of somebody who goes to church with her. Oh, and his cousin too. At any rate, they suddenly decided they didn't want to live there anymore, and Mom told them to call her when they were out and to bring by the keys. They were supposed to be out by this weekend, but we didn't get a call from them. So mom called them. Apparently, they moved out last week and both never called us and kept the keys. They dropped the keys off today in the mailbox.

Oh, but it gets *better*. Mom and I went over today to check out the house. Well, first off, they were actually only being rented the first floor. The second floor is essentially an attic, and we use it as our storage place. There's also a barn out back, with the garage part padlocked and Grandpa's workshop padlocked seperately. My Grandpa loved power tools, and he had quite a collection. They had left one of the dining room chairs outside for a few days, until we actually went over there and picked it up, so we were already apprehensive. Holy fuck. First off, they didn't sweep or vacuum anything, so the house was filthy anyways. But all of the furniture that belonged to us and was in the house is now gone. All the wallpaper was stripped off the dining room walls. There were two fucking huge holes punched in the dining room wall, and one of them actually buckled the wall on the other side. Oh, and of course they hung a painting over the holes, the bastards. Every single light switch cover in the house is gone. The light from the dining room is gone. All but one of the dining room chairs had been thrown up in the attic, and the attic window was out of the frame. There was still food in the fridge and freezer and garbage in the garbage can. All of the dishes, glasses, silverware, pots and pans are gone. The light in the bathroom was broken. The gas is off, so we don't know if the stove works or not. There was a squash sitting out on the counter that had started to rot. And then we went outside. There's a ton of crap thrown in the basement. They left a firepit full of ashes. Somehow, they broke into Grandpa's workshop and stole a saw, and probably several other tools as well. They broke into the garage and *replaced the padlock*, so we can't get into it now. God knows what all is missing out of there, but the lawnmower is sitting out in the lawn. And worst of all, they found my Dad's mitre saw, the last power tool Mom got him before he got sick, and they took that too.

And the absolute icing on the fucking cake? Today was my parents' anniversary.
