Oct. 1st, 2002 08:05 pmWhat is it with top 100 lists lately? TV Guide has a 100 Hottest Stars Ever list that I'm not even touching, it's that bad, and Rolling Stone put out a 100 greatest albums list, supposedly voted on by readers. Supposedly. Well, most of the list is pretty good. A lot of great albums on there. Bowie gets a mention at 56 for Ziggy Stardust, of course. Personally, I would have put him higher, but there's also no musicals on the list, so mine would be *way* different from what they ended up with. *G* One thing I don't understand, though. Eminem's latest album is on the list, at *number 24*. What the fuck? That album's only been out, what, a month? How the hell did it get on the list? Rather, how much cash did his record company shell out? Not that newer albums don't necessarily have a reason to be on a list like this, but an album that's only a month old? The fuck? There were no boy bands or pop tarts on the list, though, so that seems to be the only concession on the list. At least, that I saw through skimming. The top five seemed to be sane, though. Three of the five were Beatles, which my sister would say is only right. *G* And the number one? Revolver. I still can't get over that frigging Eminem album. Gah. Stupid Rolling Stone. Can I cancel my subscription?
