Oct. 20th, 2002 08:00 pmWell, we got two new movies this weekend, and watched them both! See, the Disney Store was having a sale... Ten dollars for any video or DVD. So, we went ahead and got the 25th Anniversary Winnie the Pooh and Disney's House of Villains.
Winnie the Pooh: Oh, why bother reviewing. This is one of the best Disney movies ever made. I love every single character in this movie, but Tigger's always my favorite. *G*
House of Villains: Disney has a great Saturday morning cartoon show called The House of Mouse. Basically, Mickey and friends have a sort of night club where they air cartoons, both classics and new ones. House of Villains is the Halloween special version. I love the Saturday morning version, and I loved this one. Of course, the best parts are always the classic cartoons. It's so wonderful to hear Walt as Mickey, and it's always fun to watch something you haven't seen in years to see how it holds up to your memory. Amazingly well, in these cases. The two that I remembered are the one where Mickey, Goofy, and Donald have a ghost hunting business and go to exterminate ghosts at an abandoned house (called by the ghosts themselves. they were bored!) and the one where an escaped gorilla terrorizes Donald, Huey, Duey, and Louey.
Daam, now I'm dying to see Duck Tales again! It doesn't help that one of my text books actually mentions the show. (swear to God, my text for Cultural Dynamics of Technology)
And my back hurts. We spent most of the weekend cleaning at my grandparents house again. Yick.
Oh, we kind of got an early Christmas present today. One of my dad's best friends, who was in his last band with him, brought over a picture of the entire band, blown up to huge proportions and beautifully framed. It's from when they played at my godmother's (and his sister, btw) second wedding, and Dad looks great. He's got all his "gear" on, cowboy hat, boots, leather vest, bolo... I really miss him.
