Stress Headache Fading...
Oct. 25th, 2002 09:55 pmI hate my computer sometimes. More accurately, I hate my ISP. It was acting up last night, so just in case I decided to run defrag. Cause it's been a looong time since I ran it anyways. At any rate, my connection sucked so hard last night that I couldn't access a single web page, not even msn.com or google. So, after getting a good stress headache from struggling with the damned thing for an hour, I gave up and started to run the defrag before going to bed. Cut to five am, when my mother wakes me up, demanding to know why the computer is running, why I would be running a defrag, and go check on it! And like an idiot, I do, touching the mouse and starting the frigging process all over again. Of course, it was five am, so I was too tired to care.
The defrag finished running while I was at school today. I estimate around three pm, maybe a few hours sooner. Gah. The computer and connection seems to be working now, and I am also gifted with a brand new version of MSN Messenger! So the stress headache is fading, thank God.
I'm a bit behind on reviews, so here goes... Over this past week, I watched the Tigger Movie. I love Tigger, I really do. So I quite liked the movie, even if the new Tigger voice bugs immensely. He sounds nothing like the original. At least the new Pooh voice is pretty close. And I know that I'm usually very militant on the "No new Disney sequals EVER!" front, but I've always been more lax about Pooh. Maybe because it's in a serial format in the first place. At any rate, it was a cute little movie.
I also read two plays by some nuts Polish woman who favors Robespierre that I just adored, The Danton Case and Thermidor. Now, Maxime Robespierre is my favorite. My pet, if you will. And damn it, I *love* it when Maxime is portrayed as being a human being. He's usually demonized quite a bit. And were these both ever slashy or what? I really do think it's impossible to read The Danton Case as being anything other than slashy, and the same goes, to a lesser extent, for Thermidor. I love slash involving my favorite revolutionary. *happy sighs*
