sesanaAlright, I know it's been a bit since my first entry so far... So this will have to suffice. Well. Let's see here. Oh, what the heck might as well put it here. I recently read an article that was very negative toward slash. For this reason, plus the prevalence of flamers (why do slash fics depicting sex, or even snuggliness, between consenting adults get more flames than rape fics? something to ponder) I'm fairly on the defensive. I'd like to think my personal journal wouldn't get flamed for my preferences in fanfic, but there are an awful lot of homophobes out there. Let me clear one thing up first off. I am heterosexual. (I am starting to lean away from the term "straight" because it seems to imply that homosexuality is "bent") The ability to appreciate same sex pairings does not necessarily mean one is homosexual. For my part, I like pairing up the pretty boys. It's fun! Why do I do it? I have three theories. One is that they simply work *so* well together. I'll rant on Enjy/R later. The second is that there are *two* pretty boys doing fun things to each other with no annoying girls in the way! No Mary Sues! The third is my favorite, it's just so simple. To quote (or paraphrase) Will & Grace, "Gay sex is hot!" And that's all the justification I need.

Because at least the rape fics are depicting the "proper" sexes. Rather stupid if you ask me, but I doubt any of them would. And as far as the rest of your comments, I totally agree! Oh, and consider this your official poke/reminder to update your journal!
